Questo articolo rappresenta un tentativo di dimostrare che "noi contro loro", la relazione binaria che si trova al centro dell'esperienza fascista, è incarnata. Gli autori suggeriscono che l'esperienza fascista non è solo politica, ma che si infiltra in molti aspetti delle nostre vite personali e professionali. Per raggiungere i loro obiettivi, gli autori si concentrano su due fili inestricabilmente intrecciati della teorizzazione psicoanalitica: l'esperienza traumatica e l'incarnazione umana. Vengono fornite vignette cliniche che illustrano le sfide affrontate dagli analisti nel lavorare con pazienti che sostengono un leader di tendenza fascista. l'articolo conclude suggerendo che l'enfasi sull'argomento e sul dialogo nella psicoanalisi relazionale contrasta le seduzioni dell'esperienza fascista.
